About the Gaurav Gopalan Reading Series
Gaurav was a theatre activist and long-time member of the WSC Avant Bard family. One of his lasting contributions to Avant Bard’s programming was an annual play-reading series. The plays are given free staged readings by members and friends of the Avant Bard Acting Company to test-drive them for future seasons and to bring attention to under-produced works that capture classic themes.
